Womens Arm

The National Democratic Congress Women Arm is a dynamic, hard-working and committed group of Grenadian women, all sharing the collective interest of advancing and recognizing the rights, involvement and participation of women in the political field.

The Women’s Arm played a vital role in advocating for reforms of women’s rights during the period 20080-2013, which saw the passage of The Domestic Violence Act (2010), The Child Protection and Adoption Act (2010) and The Juvenile Justice Act (2012), leading to reductions in the levels of domestic abuse and improvement in the lives of children. It was at the time the most progressive period of social reforms experienced in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
