Registration FAQ

To be eligible to vote in Grenada, you must:
✔ Be a citizen of Grenada or a qualifying Commonwealth citizen
✔ Be at least 18 years old
✔ Meet residency requirements

Registration is mandatory to participate in any election. Don’t miss your chance to have your say!

Registration takes place only at the Constituency Office assigned to your area.

Registration Timeline & Process

  • After registration, your Voter’s Identification Card will be available for collection in approximately two weeks.
  • The first application is free. However, if you need a replacement ID card, there is a fee of EC$20.00.
  • Only you can collect your Voter’s ID. You must present the receipt issued at registration.

Important Note: Registration is ongoing. However, once the Governor General issues a Writ for General Elections, registration closes.

To register, you must present at least one of the following:

  • Official Birth Certificate or Valid Passport
  • Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
  • Citizenship Document (for naturalized citizens)
  • Proof of Stay in Grenada (for Commonwealth Citizens)
  • Grenadian Parents’ Birth Certificate (for naturalized Grenadians)
